Many fairies are carved on the mountain, together with animals, trees, flowers and temples. It is all hand carved and hand painted. It is made of natural elephant bones.
It takes sculptors 2 months to complete.
THIS PIECE OF ART IS ALL HAND-CARVED. HUNDREDS SMALL PIECES OF BONE JOINED TOGETHER TO BUILD UP SUCH A HUGE WORK.
IT IS ABSOLUTELY NOT BONE POWDER, PLASTIC, RESIN, OR FISH BONES. WE DO NOT KILL ELEPHANTS TO GET THE BONES. WE ADOPT IT AFTER THE ELEPHANTS DIE IN NATURE. WE USED TO CARVE IN IVORY, HOWEVER, SINCE ELEPHANTS WERE PROTECTED FROM BEING KILLED ILLEGALLY, WE HAD TO USE BONES INSTEAD, AS IT HAS SIMILAR FEATURES AND IS AS HARD AS IVORY.
