August 30, 2000 I Left the tiny town of Lowell, Oregon near Eugene, Oregon For Malaysia, I Fell In Love With A Beautiful Land And A Wonderful Friendly Warm People.
Pulau is the malay word for Island. Pulau Aur Is The larger Of these Two Islands, There Were Actually 3 Islands very close, there were alot of other Islands Not Too Far Away. This is so Beautiful I have to go back next year!! I Must Apologize For My Photography

We Left The Malaysian Coast Around Midnight with my fine guide Simon of Spot Adventure in a small boat 50 foot long, And sailed east about 4 1/2 hours in the dark black night. This Was My Third Time Ever out in The Open Ocean, and I could always see land before, but I Had never Went Out At Night !! I'm Not A Good Swimmer So I was A little Uneasy, But the Diesel Engine Chugged Along Without missing a beat.

We Had came down the coast a few hours earlier from Mersing, Johor, Malaysia. We had a wonderfully relaxing trip. I was amazed at the miles of white beaches on the east coast of the mainland how they looked so wonderful but no one was there. On our way we stopped by a large lodge on stilts several miles out in the sea called A"kelong". It was a good mile or so from Land. Sibu Island was the closest land. We tied up and climbed up the logs on a ladder and onto the platform. It Was A great place, it looked like it had everything too keep many people comfortable.I Imagine some awesome "Fishing" at the same time. If you wanted you could fish while eating your dinner!!! Now Beat That !! Just walk right over and drop in the line. The water is so clear here you can see the fish down below you. I helped catch a few small bait fish with a spinning rod and a Herring Jig setup and time went way too fast. We were back on board in just a short time and sailed west again toward the mainland. We pulled into a small harbor and waited a few Hours. I had A Tea Tarik which is tea with some milk and the tea is boiling hot. The man pours one cup into the other and stretches it out as far as he can reach as he is pouring to cool it off. This fellow was very good, he never spilled a drop. After a few hours around midnight, we loaded up with passangers for a Scuba Diving expedition from Singapore. We made way out to sea in the darkness and our expert boatman and guide , "Yaman" was very skilled, growing up on the Islands we were bound for, he knew his way well. We arrived safely most of us slept. We came to the dock and climbed onto it, walked down the dock and down along the beach to the lodge to our bunks where we were fast asleep very soon. When I awoke to a glorious morning and went out side this is what I awoke to.
Pulau Dayang
I thought I had died and went to heaven this water is such a beautiful blue and clear And Warm! We had Breakfast, The Food Was Great And The Lodging Comfortable.
I went out with the scuba diresr several trips and snorkled but i decided to stay behind on one of the trips out and enjoyed the beach. I sat on a rock at the right of this picture watching the sea and the small multi colored fish in the coral reef at the end of the beach above and didn't see 1 person on the beach the whole 2 hours time. I hope you will join us at WWW.ExoticTreks.Com to list your adventures and guided tours and together we will make a different web site that is both enjoyable, educational, as well as useful and profitable. Thank You, from ExoticTreks
